Coordination is Key

My dad is a photographer, so every year our family Christmas Card photos are a big deal, and truthfully my mom lives for it too! So we wait and see each year where the location will be, then we start to plan our looks. This year we landed on doing them while we are in the mountains later this month, so the look is “casual Fall cozy”.

Once the plan was decided my mom asked if I’d send over some clothing ideas and the inspiration board turned out so cute that I thought I’d share it with you, just in case you too are looking for a good Fall palette!

For us the photo will include: my mom and dad; my sister, brother-in-law, and niece; and of course Ryan and I. Seven people in total. The idea was for us all to coordinate without being “match-y” and to also group tones together so that each couple/family had a color!

Who knows what it will all actually end up wearing, but I really LOVE the vibe of this. Ryan actually has the entire outfit on the bottom right, so I ordered this dress yesterday and I can’t wait for it to come in, I think it will look so pretty with these boots that I already own. Fingers crossed, we may end up being the “burgundy tone couple” if it works out! čśë

Below are lots of ideas for mixing and matching, hopefully it’s helpful as you to plan your family photos this year.
