The Best Summer Cocktail!

It’s safe to say I am 100% obsessed with watermelon. I could (and pretty much have) eat an entire watermelon single handedly. On a hot summer day in Florida, nothing is better than ice cold watermelon, literally nothing. 

A few weeks ago, Ryan and I got a MASSIVE watermelon at the market. We got a little too excited when we bought it because it was a little too large! We cut the whole thing up and still couldn’t fit it into our refrigerator, so I decided to cut the pieces we couldn’t refrigerate into chunks. Then I pureed, strained, and put it all in mason jars. I kept a jar in the fridge and put the rest in the freezer hoping I’d figure out some way to use it!  We both ended up LOVING having pureed watermelon around and found out quickly that this magical puree made one fantastic watermelon cocktail

So, the next time you are at the store, pick up a watermelon or two. I pinky promise you won’t regret it.

Watermelon Sparkler Cocktail

Ingredients
  1. 1/2 Lime
  2. 1.5 oz Vodka
  3. 3 oz Watermelon Puree (strained)
  4. 1 splash of soda water
  5. Agave to taste
  6. Ice
Instructions
  1. Pour vodka, watermelon puree, and 1/4 wedge of lime juice into the cocktail shaker over ice. Shake, and pour ingredients over ice into glass, stir in agave (to taste, depending on how sweet your watermelon is), add a splash of soda water, stir and enjoy!
