First off let me just preface this with, yes I do realize that this in not real life, and secondly… how do I make this my real all the time life?!
The Vanity Fair Young Hollywood Party was Tuesday night in L.A. and I’m here to tell you that yes, it is just as magical as you might have dreamed it would be. As you know, I’ve been working with L’Oreal this year, and this is my third event that I’ve attended as their guest. Each event just keeps getting better!
Since so much happened that day, I thought I’d share my Vanity Fair Young Hollywood Day Diary with you because let’s be real, all the glitz and glam is fun… but we all want details!
6:30 am: Wake Up Call
Up early, because 1. Jet Lag and 2. Who can sleep?! – We’re in Hollywood!
7:00 am: Gym
Because it’s the most beautiful gym I’ve EVER seen! Oh yea… and I was hoping to spot someone famous. I didn’t end up spotting anyone, but I still managed to get a good workout in!
8:30 am: Breakfast
Showered, hopped back in bed, opened laptop, and called in breakfast. Is there anything better than breakfast in bed at the Four Seasons? Let me answer that for you… there isn’t.
9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Catch Up on East Coast Work
Since I’m 3 hours behind my Florida ABD team, I spent the morning catching up on what I missed. Signing contracts, approving designs, prepping blog posts, editing photos, and all the e-mails I could possibly do!
1:00 – 3:00 pm: Lunch at The Ivy
I officially made it out of the room at noon to find some lunch. The hotel has a Bentley (I know, not real life!) for you to take anywhere you want in a two mile radius, so of course I had to take it for a spin! We ended up at The Ivy. It was all very fancy and just as magical as you would think it would be!
3:00 – 5:00 pm: L’Oreal Glam Suite
This is hands down one of my favorite things about traveling with L’Oreal! They always have a special suite all set up for hair and make-up. It’s like one big fancy slumber party! We pick out hair styles, lipsticks, and looks, and then we sit back and talk about our celebrity crushes and sip champagne. It’s truly THE BEST.
Side Bar: Let’s Talk About The Look
For the party, I ended up going with a classic red lip and big lashes. At first, we were going to do a really bold eye, but right before we started we decided to do a bold lip instead and really play up that Old Hollywood Glam that I love so much. Also, since my dress was white, we thought it might be fun to have a Marilyn moment!
Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation #301 & 303
Infallible Pro-Matte Powder #101 & #500
It ended up being one of my favorite looks to date!
Make-Up : Carla Abruzzo
5:00 – 9:00 pm: Dinner with Curtis Stone at Gwen
Dinner was absolutely amazing! Champagne was flowing, and the food was out of this world. If you ever get the chance to go to Gwen, make sure you order the cauliflower, it’s unreal!
9:00 – Vanity Fair Young Hollywood Party at Delilah
This is us arriving at Delilah for the party! We had just stepped out of our cars, and the paparazzi were swarming trying to get a glimpse of the celebrities. The night ended up being so incredibly magical, but let’s be real, is there anything better than dancing the night away with your favorite girl friends?!
The whole day was like a Hollywood Fairy Tale, and I couldn’t be any more thankful for my L’Oreal family! The glitz, the glam, and the friendships, it’s all quite a dream.
