Always Garden Party Ready!

A few weeks ago Ryan and I spent a few days at The Cloister on Sea Island and I wish we could have stayed longer. I don’t think either of us knew what we were in for when we drove up on a Tuesday afternoon.  As soon as we arrived we realized that it was an actual Southern Paradise.

From the scenery to the people to the food, everything at Sea Island was beyond outstanding. I’m not sure I’ve ever been anywhere like it before. The hospitality and the quiet luxury of the island made for three magical days in the low country and I speak for Ryan when I say, we can not wait to go back!

One night Ryan and I did a bit of exploring before dinner when we came across this secret courtyard garden. The light was incredible and the courtyard itself was incredibly beautiful. It was full of ivy and pretty potted citrus, my idea of heaven. It had to be meant to be because I had pulled out my favorite garden party dress to wear that evening, so I matched perfectly with the space!

This dress has been my go-to dress for over a year now. I’ve worn it countless times and it always seems to find it’s way into my suitcase just about every trip. Even though this particular dress itself is beautiful, I think its more about the flattering fit, pattern, and length that makes it so appealing. The floral tones are muted and the length makes the dress perfect for almost any occasion! Similar to this one and this one, I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a tea length floral dress.

A simple floral tea length dress can take you from brunch to a wedding or off for a Springtime date night! I’ve worn this one with pumps, ballet flats, wedges, and sandals… in all honesty, this type of dress gets more wear than a pair of jeans for me this time of year. Plus, like I said, I always like to be garden party ready!
