Hello from Charleston!
Ryan and I popped up to Charleston on Sunday and we’ve been having the best time exploring downtown. We’ve been to Charleston countless times, but this city never gets old! Truth be told, I love visiting a familiar place over and over because it almost feels like coming home. You have you go-to restaurants, favorite hotels, and best coffee spots already down-pat… a few cities feel like that for us: New York, Blue Ridge, and Charleston. They are by far our most visited and most loved spots.
We’ve by no means made it through ALL that Charleston has to offer, but we do have a few favorite spots that are worth sharing! Below are our top five!
Top 5 Favorites in Charleston
We love staying at 86 Cannon (here’s a full review) and cannot say enough great things about them! If you are thinking of booking a trip to CHS I’d highly recommend staying at this quaint and beautifully done inn.
There are SO many great places for cocktails in the city, but The Dewberry is one of our favorites. The martinis are delicious and their house made hummus is what dreams are made of. Definitely worth a trip to their lobby bar!
EAT: Allergy Friendly Restaurants
Again, there are like a billion restaurants in Charleston and I am pretty sure 99% of them are AMAZING! But Cannon Green has to be one of my absolute favorites. Not only is the environment dreamy, but they never blink an eye at my dairy allergy. Seriously, I always want to give the server a hug for making me feel normal.
I sound like a broken record here, but there is truly so much to do in Charleston… but if I had to pick one single thing, I’d pick a sunset sail. Ryan and I did this on one of our trips to Charleston (see here) and it was absolutely magical. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s definitely a pretty penny, I think our trip was $500 or so, but if you get a few people and split it a couple ways it’s totally worth it. Truly breathtaking!
