A Lovely Find for a Fancy Holiday Night Out

If you saw my December Bucket List you know one of the to-do’s was to attend a fancy Holiday dinner party.  Well that wish came true. We got invited to one and all I needed to do was plan my outfit. Fortunately, I already had something in mind! I mentioned before that I totally impulse purchased a few things this season over Black Friday, this outfit being one of them. After too many cups of hot cocoa I saw this bodysuit (yes, bodysuit) and thought, well duh… I have to have that! As soon as it got delivered I was concerned. I haven’t worn a bodysuit since the seventh grade so what in the world was I thinking?! Also, would it even be comfortable? There were so many, MANY, questions.

Thankfully I had purchased these really fun lace pants to go along with the bodysuit so I had something to at least try on with the look… and as soon as I put it all together I felt invincible and more lady like than ever.

I’m usually a dress girl, but I’ve got to be honest with you, I felt more like myself in this look than I have in any other outfit this season. It was feminine, different, and comfortable. I’m not sure if the bodysuit was so reminiscent of the leotards I wore 6 days a week from ages 3-19 taking Dance or if the fact that I wasn’t constantly tucking and re-tucking in my top all night made the difference. Either way I loved it.

I ended up pairing the all black look with an OLD Target faux fur jacket find (can you even believe that?!), my favorite black bag, and my trusty Nine West pumps.

For the jewelry I topped the look off my great grandmother’s necklace and a few vintage baubles from Sweet & Spark

I’ve already worn this look twice this season, but it’s too good not to pull it out again. I’m thinking this may just be good enough for New Years Eve!

Oh, and I can not forget to address the elephant in the room here when it comes to wearing a bodysuit, the panty lines. Let’s talk about them! Honestly that was my one and only concern when I bought this outfit, but truthfully… it wasn’t really noticeable at all! I felt confident all night. So If you are worried about a bodysuit’s VPL, don’t be, it will be 100% a-okay! čśë
