My Spring Dressing Dilemma
In Partnership with Walmart and ShopStyle. Thoughts and opinions are my own.
During the Spring and Summer months I am all about dresses. Here in the South, it’s almost the only way to survive. But while we are still in those Spring transition months, I find layering is essential. Last week it was both in the 90’s and 60’s during the day, so planning what to wear became very tricky. Honestly, I call it closet roulette! You just never know.
But this time of year I start stocking up on easy, everyday dresses knowing I can layer them with open cardigans like this one. Come May, I’ll be wearing the dress sans the cardigan (and instead layering on the sun screen! ha!) But in all seriousness, I love that I was able to find all, YES ALL of these pieces at Walmart.com.
I know, I am actually as shocked as you are. I worked with Walmart last year when we re-did my vanity (see that post here) and that’s when I realized Walmart is no longer the store of my childhood! The vanity from last year is still one of my favorite pieces in our home and, honestly, one of the most asked about!
But enough about home decor… let’s talk fashion! Lord and Taylor is now available at Walmart, meaning not only are there amazing Walmart brands like the maker of my dress, $18 by the brand Love Sadie, or my $13 cardigan by the brand Time and Tru… but they also have Sam Edelman shoes (I’m obsessed with these and only $60), Ray Ban sunglasses, and Kurt Geiger accessories! Guys, no lie, I’m a Walmart.com convert.
This is my first of two projects with Walmart this Spring and I cannot wait for you to see the second look… I really did find so many fun pieces! I love that I can mix a little high and low while shopping brands I already know and love! Plus, I’m sorry, but an $18 dress is just unbeatable.
As for fit, my dress is a size small and it runs big. I had it tailored, but then again… I tailor almost everything! These Sam Edelman shoes are amazing. True to size and I have legit worn them so many times since they came in the mail. They are the perfect Spring/Summer sandal and very comfortable! And last but not least, this cardigan is a size medium… I wanted something slouch and oversized, the medium did just the trick!
But enough about me and what I bought, I want to hear what you think of Walmart.com!
