Finally! I made it to my very last NYC diary! I combined Saturday and Sunday into this final post because it just seemed fitting. These were such sweet days that I never wanted to end. Ryan and I keep saying we want to re-do Saturday just because it really was the best day we’ve had in such a long time.
We finally had some down time and I think it was the first time we realized that we were in the city, together! It had been almost a year since Ryan was able to travel with me, and with all of our work commitments completed, we savored every second of it just being the two of us.

Diary, Day 5 & 6
Saturday at Ralph’s
We legit spent almost all of Saturday at the Ralph Lauren store on Madison Avenue. It was such a heavenly afternoon. We sat in the cafe sipping our lattes, people watching, and just over-all decompressing after a whirlwind of a week.
Ralph Lauren has always been one of mine and Ryan’s favorite designers. Someone we admire as much personally as we love the clothing he makes. We own all the RL books, Ryan’s read all of his biographies, so needless to say we are big fans. And there is nothing more inspiring than doing a little window shopping at Ralph’s. If you are in the city, you absolutely MUST stop by. I promise you will love it. Not only is the store itself gorgeous, but the cafe is just so cozy and elegant!
Babbo, Our Favorite
Babbo is hands down our favorite restaurant in the city. We make a point to have a date night there each and ever time we make our way to New York. It’s where we celebrated our first anniversary and so many milestones since.
Dinner at Babbo was on our list of things to do after Ryan finished his treatment. And when we walked in we both felt a wave of accomplishment. I had happy tears in my eyes all through dinner and I think it’s safe to say it was by far our best date night at Babbo yet. Such a sweet memory I will never, ever, forget.
Note: If you go, (and please, go!), make sure you order the Black Spaghetti… it’s truly out of this world.
Breakfast in Brooklyn
On Sunday we packed our bags and headed to Williamsburg for breakfast at Ryan’s brother and sister-in-law’s apartment. They recently moved to Brooklyn and their apartment is the absolute coziest!
We had the best morning catching up over homemade brunch. That’s one of the things I love about Ryan’s giant family (he’s one of eight!), we have siblings in practically every state! ha!
But seriously though, how cute is their apartment?!
After breakfast we decided to take our party on the move. Our first stop was Domino Park. It’s one of the most spectacular views in Brooklyn. It overlooks all of Manhattan and even on a freezing cold day, there is no place you’d rather be.
Next time you are in town, make sure you stop by and snap a photo! It really is downright breathtaking!
The Ferry To Dumbo
After our chilly walk about Domino Park we set our sights on Dumbo! Neither Ryan nor I had gotten the chance to explore much of Brooklyn and we were so excited to see the sights. Even thought it was freezing, the views of the bridge are definitely worth the trip!
Also, the ferry is so much fun. I’d never done that before either… it’s only $2 per person and totally worth it for great views of of downtown Manhattan.
One Last Matcha…
Before we grabbed a car to the airport we stopped into one last coffee shop to warm up.
One of my favorite things about being in the city is experiencing new coffee shops, and my sister-in-law was so excited to introduce me to her favorite spot for fancy matcha called Matchaful. If you are into Matcha, I think you will love it! Their drink concoctions are downright magical. Mine actually tasted like hot cocoa! (in a Matcha sort of way!)
We’ve been home for 2 days now and, honestly, I cannot wait to go back!
I hope you have enjoyed these little NYC diaries, they’ve been so much fun to write. Plus I love being able to use sweet but grainy iPhone photos… it feels like the old days! ha!
Regardless… thank you for following along!
