Ashley Brooke Designs - Saturday Morning Breakfast

Good Morning and Happy Monday to You!

Here is just a peek at what I was up to this weekend…

Photo 1: The Perfect Saturday Breakfast!

On Saturday morning we turned on my favorite playlist of all time on Spotify, and whipped up a proper Saturday morning breakfast. We hardly ever make pancakes, so when we do, it feels all kinds of special!

On Saturday afternoon I packed up my tote with my new book, a blanket, some snacks, a pair of sunnies, and headed out to find the perfect shady spot to spend some time diving into Wild and Free. My good friends Jess & Hayley wrote this beautiful book and I could not be more proud of them!  If you haven’t already pre-ordered Wild and Free, you need to right now. The words in this book are incredibly beautiful and will both hug your heart and give it freedom!

P.S. Jess and Hayley, you two are amazing!

Photo 3: A Spontaneous Adventure

We are those people. Those people who live an hour away from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and quite literally never go. It’s kind of the saddest thing ever. So on Saturday night we made a pact to no longer be those people. Early Sunday morning before church we threw together a beach bag with just the necessities and vowed to leave straight from church to the beach. We might have to change clothes in a Wallgreens, but gosh darn it, we are going to the beach!  And that is just what we did. It ended up being kind of the best day. On our way to the beach we stopped by Da Kine Diego’s (if you are in the Indialantic area, you NEED to go. It’s the BEST burrito shack!) and picked up a couple of burritos to-go, then headed out to the beach for a few hours of pure bliss. We wrapped up our adventure at Sands on the Beach to toast our magical day! I even managed to scoop up a few seashells to take home with us, I cleaned them off and put them in a jar on our coffee table to remind us that we need more trips to the beach in our life!

Love spontaneous adventures! I’m one of those people who lives an hour away from some of the most beautiful mountains and never go. Your post reminds me I should! The beach doesn’t sound too bad either čśë

I’m glad I’m not the only one, nothing better than a nice change of scenery every now and then!
