First, let me just say thank you for all of your kind notes, thoughts, and prayers from yesterday’s post. I can not tell you how much they mean to the both of us. We are so hopeful for this next season and are looking forward to seeing what beautiful things come out of this chapter in our story.
Write it Out
I have mentioned this more than a handful of times, but I’m an avid journaler. As in, I have to do it or I get nutty kind of journaler. It’s how I process the day, feelings, good times, bad times, and well…all the times. It’s just what I do. Also, I kind of love archiving my life like that and there is nothing as sweet as pulling out an old journal and seeing all the wonderful things God has done through different seasons of life.
Now, when I say I’m a journaler, please do not take this to mean I’m a brilliant writer putting down my thought-provoking, poetic feelings every single day. Because that would be a HARD no. Most days its chicken scratch I can only read, I spell just about everything wrong, and it’s a bit all over the place. But it’s mine, and I don’t care. So if you are interested in journaling don’t feel like you have to be someone you’re not to do it. Write down what feels good, scribble it out and keep going. I’m telling you, it’s worth trying!
My best friend Betsy gifted me a new journal recently (timely, I know) and I haven’t been more than 5 feet away from it ever since. Now, Betsy knows me and KNOWS how picky I am about my journals, so this was a risky move on her part. Nonetheless, she dove right in and being that she does, in fact, know me well, she nailed this gift!
The journal is special and doesn’t look like a 12-year-old’s diary. It’s also easy to use and meets all my top requirements for a journal. It lays flat, has a hardcover, and the pages are thick enough that the ink doesn’t bleed through… can I get an “amen”? Also, she personalized it with my monogram in a beautiful gold foil, so what I’m really saying is that this is the perfect journal. If you are a paper freak like me, you’ll understand when it comes in the mail. It’s exactly what your life has been missing.
So allllll of that to say, do yourself a favor, order this journal, and start scribbling it out. You can thank me later! š
A Few Other Favorites:
Can you ask Betsy how she had it monogrammed with your initials in gold foil?! I NEED this!

Melissa, you will love it! Total game changer!
I really need to get on the journal train.
Yes, you do!! It’s THE best!
LOVE this journal!! Do you have favorite journaling pens and pens you use to write in your bible?
I don’t actually! I just write all over it with whatever I have! I probably should care more, but I kind of like the mess! Ha! Do you?!
My current favorite choice is the sharpie pen, but I always test out new pens and I love all of the colors. The lighter shades donāt bleed through bible pages, which is nice!
ooohhh! Such goo tips!
