First off, Happy Halloween!! I hope you are doing something fun tonight. Halloween is one of my very favorite nights of the year in our neighborhood. We always get HUNDREDS of kids and truthfully nothing is more fun than handing out candy to tiny princesses and little pirates! Eek, I’m already just so excited. I’m going to make a giant pot of chili and cornbread, and pray we don’t run out of candy by 8pm.
Anyway, since today already feels overly festive, I thought I’d share my top 5 Fall home favorites of the moment. I’m not one to decorate the inside of our home with lots of Fall related things, mostly because I don’t like too much extra stuff around. But this year Ryan asked if we could cozy up the house a bit… and honestly, he’s right, we should! Both of our moms do such a great job at decorating seasonally and I need to get on board – but find a way to do so that I’m comfortable with. So maybe we won’t have scarecrow statues, but I think a plaid throw and a few new pillows might do the trick!
So I did a little digging, and this is what I’ve come up with so far, I hope you love!
Oh, and Pottery Barn is running a sale on their Fall decor, so if you too are looking to cozy up your home, now might be the time!
5 Fall Things I'm Loving
Real Fall Wreath
How pretty is this real Fall wreath?! Our Fall wreath (pictured above) I made 3 years ago (here’s the tutorial) and I think it’s officially time for a new one. I was thinking I may need to just DIY another one, but then I saw this and thought. NO NEED. This one is stunning, and honestly is less than what it would cost to make a whole new wreath! ha!
Fall Pillows I actually Love!
I’m typically in the non-seasonal pillow side of life. I’m not a huge fan of kitsch home decor things, but my sister told me the other day that not having seasonal pillows made it seem like I had no soul. ha! So I went on a mission to find ones I actually liked! Here are four that I’m seriously considering picking up for November. I love the way they look together, and how they are Fall, but not in an over-the-top way! Honestly, they’re stunning!
$8 Rope Basket
I know I talked about this rope basket a few weeks ago, but seriously I can’t get enough of it. I use it at least once a week, but often times more to transport dishes! And with the holiday season upon us and pot-luck parties galore, I know I’ll be putting some serious miles on this baby. Such a good buy.
