Crafty Weekend

I think I’m slowly but surely turning into my grandmothers (which I kind of love!). I walked into my dining room after putting away a load of laundry and had to laugh. A puzzle, a bowl of popcorn, and a sewing machine… full on granny style, and I don’t hate it one bit!

Ryan and I started working on a 1,000 piece puzzle, I busted out the sewing machine to whip up a few masks (using Carly’s blog post for reference), I tie-dyed two t-shirts (I’ll show you later this week!) and spent the rest of the weekend in the kitchen.

I really wanted to plant some wildflower seeds this weekend as well, but on Sunday the weather was drizzly so I ended up staying inside with a book, which I wasn’t mad about. čśë All in all it was a simple and sweet weekend.

5 Things I'm Loving

April’s Book

If you are looking for a fun, flirty, and frivolous read I can not recommend Love & Gelato enough! I read it last year and LOVED it – a total escape and truly a real treat of a book. Hope on over to our Book Club page and take a peek!

Vegan/GF Fudgy Muffins

I’ve been LOVING getting in the kitchen and baking up a storm lately… some may call it stress baking! čśë Either way, I just really enjoy it. Minimalist Baker is my go-to for all my favorite baked goods and this recipe is next up on the list for me. WOW these look good!

Under $20 Dress

I am working on a post to show 5 dresses under $40, most of which are in the $20 category for different ways to mix up your comfies (i.e. sweats) with just as comfortable dresses. Thought this would be fun! I DESPISE being uncomfortable at home, but I do like feeling like myself, so comfy and affordable dresses are the way to go for sure! I just ordered this dress and can tell you just by the photo I’m going to LOVE it.

More Backyard Fun

We are working with Frontgate on a few new pieces for our backyard, which is where we practically LIVE these days, and I am so excited. I’m beyond thankful for genuine partners that are so supportive during these weird times, and of course incredibly grateful for the work. I’ve been working with Frontgate for 3 years now and just love their team, and it’s always such an honor. One of the items we will be shooting for them are these chaise lounge chairs and guys, I AM SO PUMPED. You can be SURE that as soon as they come in I’ll be putting on SPF 100 (ha!), my swimsuit, and blending up a pitcher of piña coladas! Backyard vacation coming right up!

*note: these are definitely a splurge, even at 25% off. This is clearly not a need, but as always, I am so grateful for the work and happy to give a company I love extra press!  I did find these on Amazon that are significantly less, if you are in the market but are needing a budget friendly option!
