And Happy Holidays!
I just wanted to pop in to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a wonderful New Year! I’m signing off for the rest of the year except for a few Book Club posts (just you wait for January’s book, it’s such a good one!) to spend time with family and rest. To be completely honest I kind of checked out last week, ha…. I think the sugar cookies and constant stream of Christmas movies made me do it! 😉 Anyway, I’m so excited to have some time to dream for 2021, and maybe even do a little organizing! I’ll be sharing on social, but I’ll be back here full steam ahead come the New Year.
This year has been such a wild ride for all of us collectively, but there were so many wonderful moments that I never want to forget. Like the first sledge hammer we took to our kitchen – I was in a full SWEAT! Or slow dancing in our new kitchen after cooking the first real meal in four months. Those magical late nights during lockdown drinking wine on the back porch and playing cards under the twinkle lights. Hearing the “still all clear” from Ryan’s doctor at his one-year post-cancer follow-up appointment. Meeting my neice for the first time and seeing my sister become a mom.
We created a thousand new traditions as we charted our way through a year that had no map.
Even though this year was full of many heartbreaks, hurdles, and things we “just din’t see coming”, I want to also remember the good, the many funny moments and sweet memories.
And to you, I want to say thank you. I don’t deserve a community like you. Thank you for showing up day in and day out. Thank you for always cheering us on. You are the reason I do what I do, and I am forever thinking of you. I always say that I have the best community on the internet and y’all made those words even truer this year. You showed up, supported, and encouraged me. I’ve learned so much from all of you this year and I am so grateful for your friendship. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are what’s good in this world.
I’m so grateful for another beautiful, crazy, and completely unpredictable year.
Merry Christmas, friends! And cheers to so much more!
