I’ve worn glasses since high school and, quite honestly, I should have had them even earlier than that. I used to “lie” during my yearly eye exam because I couldn’t imagine what life would be like with glasses. Like, if I had glasses would I have any friends? And how would I match every single outfit to the pink frames I thought were kind of cute?? But more importantly, how could I even go in public WEARING GLASSES?!
Clearly, I had my priorities in check and I wasn’t the LEAST bit delusional. When I turned 15 and got my learner’s permit I realized that I was now putting other people in danger with my blurry vision I caved and stopped fibbing on my eye exam. Since then I’ve literally and figuratively never looked back.
Taking the Pain out of Buying Glasses
I have loved wearing glasses since my first pair back in high school… I have no idea what I was so afraid of…The addition of 20/20 vision has really improved my quality of life!
Since high school I have purchased one pair of glasses every handful of years because, let’s be real, they are not usually cheap and it’s always been kind of a hassle. Which means as soon as I buy a pair of glasses I wear them out and about for a year or so and then they become part of my nighttime routine and I rely mostly on contacts. But when I heard about Zenni I thought this might just change the way I think about glasses, and it has.
Fashion Meets Function
For such a long time glasses have just been that thing you “needed.” Now they are are not only functional but fashionable and I love the idea of swapping them out when the mood strikes.
One of my favorite things about Zenni is the price point! I purchased BOTH of these glasses for under $100 total. Seriously! Each of them was roughly $45 for prescription lenses and frames… which I found to be a total steal! Another thing I love is that Zenni has literally hundreds of frames to choose from. Finding two that I loved was not even remotely a struggle.
Now not only can I actually see (bless my 13-year-old heart), but I can have a couple of styles to choose from that I actually love! And as an added life-hack, I am able to ALWAYS keep a pair in my travel bag, because if there is one thing I forget on just about every trip it would be my glasses… that and well, toothpaste, but that story is better left to unpack for another day!
If you can relate to my struggle with glasses at all, you really should check out Zenni and see what it’s all about. I think you’ll find the experience just as fun as I did!
