10 Father’s Day Gift Ideas for Men
Hi everyone, Ryan here! Father’s Day is just around the corner. I’m pretty sure we can all agree, Dads are notoriously hard to shop for, but don’t let that stop you from showing how much they mean to you. Hopefully this gift guide makes it a little easier. I will say, as I wrote this guide I realized how much it is a sign of the times (Quarantine inspired – work from home, house projects, the importance of a good drink!). All good stuff nonetheless, so without further ado, below are 10 Father’s Day Gift Ideas for 2020.
And don’t forget about past gift guides for more inspiration:
Thermo Pro Wireless Digital Meat Thermometer
Hands down one of the most useful gadgets a guy can own! If he likes to grill out in the Summer, this will be his best friend. This thing lets you monitor what’s on the grill even if you have to step away. With a range of over 300 feet, it will alert you when your food reaches the perfect temperature. BONUS, it’s also easy to use on food in the oven. Trust me on this one.
Todd Snyder x Champion T-Shirt
I professed my love for anything put out by the Men’s clothing store, Todd Snyder, in the last gift guide. It’s a really cool brand and the quality is incredible.
That said, this is the best t-shirt I’ve ever owned. I bought one on sale a couple of months ago. Now I own 6 different colors. Every guy is in search of the perfect T, and this is it!
Ring Doorbell Pro
It’s hard to underestimate how much stress we all feel now that 90% of what we buy gets left outside our front door for at least some amount of time. Ring solves that, and is also just a cool device to keep the home safe and very handy to use when you aren’t home or on the other side of the house wondering if you really need to answer the front door.
Integrates with Alexa and other smart home-hub devices.
My siblings and I bought this for our dad for his birthday, but he loves it!
Bosch Laser Distance Measurer
Chances are, he’s doing a lot of DIY projects right now just like every other guy who has been quarantined at home! This will make the next project so much easier. It measures up to 65 feet instantly. I can’t even tell you how much time and effort this would save me, especially for those long distances when you don’t have anyone to hold the other end of the tap. Currently on sale!
Let’s Talk Drinks!
Peugeot Whiskey Tasting Glass – This whiskey sniffer is very intriguing to me. The glass rests on a metal cooling base that brings the whiskey to the perfect 45 degree temperature in minutes – without ice, so there’s no dilution. If he likes bourbon or scotch whiskey neat, this is a winner.
What Whiskey to Buy at the Store:
Scotch – Laphroaig Lore ($110-$129)
Leather Desk Mat
With the work from home no longer a trend but an actual way of life for so many, the home desk has become so important. Here’s one way to dress up the desk a bit and make it more functional and comfortable. I’m on the market for one of these and asked a few friends – this one won out for being both style and quality.
Walnut Monitor Stand
Yes – still talking about the home office/desk area. I have a similar stand to this one (though not Walnut), hence why I’ve been stalking this one for a week or so now. It’s a great compliment to the above desk pad, elevates your screen for better work conditions, and is raised so your keyboard and laptop can slide underneath and out of the way. HIGHLY recommend.
Tablet / Phone Stand
Another desk accessory?? Sort of. It is useful holding a tablet or smart phone on the desk, but it’s also perfect for at home workouts, cooking, or anywhere that you need to set a screen to the right hands-free viewing angle. I’m starting to see these everywhere and feel like the uses are endless!
Oakley Eye Jacket Redux Sunglasses
In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with these glasses. I really love the 90’s throwback style. They’re perfect for a day on the lake or outdoor workout/run. Currently on sale and a solid choice for the active guy.
