    So excited to discuss!!!

    1. LOVED IT. Honestly, I love books like this… and it felt very real and sweet.

    2. Okay, I am the WORST at playlists, the worst. But I’ll give it a shot:
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Ella Fitzgerald
You Send Me – Aretha Franklin
This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) – Natalie Cole

    3. Yes! I love books with duel perspective, I feel like you really get the whole story that way!! Actually the last 2 books I have read had this same style, so apparently I’m a fan!

    1. What did you think of the slow build to Jess and Alex’s relationship?
A slow build is my FAVORITE!
    2. If you were to create a soundtrack for this book, what 3 songs would definitely be on it?
    oooooh , definitely these:
-Dreams by The Cranberries (Begining, Duh.)
-Cold December Night by Michael Buble
-Still the One by Shania Twain
    3. Did you enjoy the alternating perspectives from Jess and Alex? Would you have preferred a traditional 3rd person narrator or perspectives from other characters?
Yes, I loved getting to see both sides of the story and hear what each of them was thinking!

    1. What did you think of the slow build to Jess and Alex’s relationship?
Loved it! I loved the connection to One Day towards the end, because it reminded me so much of it throughout, with the missed chances and opportunities, but in the end it all worked out and was truly for the best, and that there was a reason for everything. Because imagine if they had gotten together early on? Alex’s fiance coming back could have ruined that relationship and brought in such doubt. I also think they both had to “find each other” to sound cliche. Jess had to figure out who she was by herself in her new life in London, and Alex had to figure out who he wanted to be after making that huge decision to change his life. I also loved that they were friends first, I think that is so important. My husband is first and foremost my very best friend.

    2. If you were to create a soundtrack for this book, what 3 songs would definitely be on it?
    1. I want a Snowfall Kind of Love- Ingrid Michaelson
    2. Winter Song-Sara Bareilles/Ingrid Michaelson
    3. Christmas Lights- Coldplay

I listened to a lot of this type of music in the background while reading! haha

    3. Did you enjoy the alternating perspectives from Jess and Alex? Would you have preferred a traditional 3rd person narrator or perspectives from other characters?
I love shifting perspectives! They are my very favorite kind of books to read because it keeps it interesting, and also you get to know several characters better and hear those inner monologues. Also, I have such a soft spot for Alex, because he reminds me SO much of my husband. My husband changed careers to become a nurse almost three years ago. I saw first hand how hard it was, both physically and emotionally both while he was in school and while he was working with patients, and I have so much respect for anyone that is in healthcare, first career or not. I thought all of the characters were great and seemed very real. I don’t think 3rd person would have worked for this book, but I also think it was perfect just having Jess and Alex as the narrators.

Wow! That’s wild–I’m glad you could really relate to these characters through your husband’s career. How fun!

I agree Lindsay, loved the perspectives of Jess & Alex! xx

    1. What did you think of the slow build to Jess and Alex’s relationship?

I thought the slow build was kinda sad. I mean neither were happy leading up to. I just think about what if they had known earlier how much happier they would have been.

    2. If you were to create a soundtrack for this book, what 3 songs would definitely be on it?

    No Doubt…walking through spider webs
Elton John and Kiki…don’t go breaking my heart
The Beatles…I want to hold your hand

    3. Did you enjoy the alternating perspectives from Jess and Alex? Would you have preferred a traditional 3rd person narrator or perspectives from other characters?

I love the other perspectives in books. But I think 3 or more would be too many.

I agree Stacey–more than 2 or 3 and its easy to lose track. I loved Crazy Rich Asians but there A LOT of characters to follow.

    1. What did you think of the slow build to Jess and Alex’s relationship?

I liked that it made the story more realistic and gave them a chance to develop a friendship. I especially liked Jess’ storyline of finding her way in London.

    2. If you were to create a soundtrack for this book, what 3 songs would definitely be on it?

I think I’ll go with “Last Christmas,” “All I Want for Christmas is You,” and “You Send Me” (gives me all The Holiday vibes!).

    3. Did you enjoy the alternating perspectives from Jess and Alex? Would you have preferred a traditional 3rd person narrator or perspectives from other characters?

I thought the alternating perspectives were just right.

    1. I loved the build up! I thought it was a more realistic approach how an actual relationship would develop. And I knew they would eventually get together, it was just a matter of when.

    2. I love this question! I would say She by Elvis Costello (all the Notting Hill vibes), Vienna by Billy Joel, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by She and Him

    3. I think multiple perspectives is a trend we’ve seen a lot in novels lately. I know I’ve read many books with this approach over the last couple of years. I like it a lot because you get different details and parts of the story from each character. It keeps the story moving in my opinion and with two narrators doing the audiobook it was super fun to listen to and easy to follow.

Hi y’all! I’m finally back and I’ve missed you all! I just finished Rush and haven’t started Royal Holiday but with my certification exam over with I’m back in action and We Met in December sounded like the perfect fun read! Started and finished it within a couple days!

    1. Oh the slow build! It was just like One Day in December- full of anticipation and excruciating with the wrong people at the wrong time. Loved that they brought in the One Day concept. Very fitting. Now I want to hear more about them together than the flash forward at the end gave us! I want MORE!

    2. There’s so many songs out there oh my what a hard question, hmmm how about:
–“I Really Like You” by Carly Rae Jepsen
–“Sweet Disposition” by The Temper Trap
–“Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” by Darlene Love OR better yet….
    — “Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses- a song of literally everything working out in the end just in time for the holidays…haha! 🙂

    3. I loved the alternate perspectives, I so deeply enjoyed getting to understand them both and see that they both felt the same way about each other. I think it would’ve left the audience so uneasy to only see Jess’ or Alex’s side. Getting Becky’s perspective would’ve been nice too, I still don’t know how she figured out about Alex and Emma until that one very obvious night. And I want to know how Gen and Sophie like Alex! Another book please!

I agree Amelia, I want more! Also, welcome back! xx
