    I LOVED THIS BOOK

    1. OK, we’re dying to know. Which date was your favorite?

I absolutely love Salsa night!! Honestly sounded like a BLAST!

    2. Have you ever used a dating service: online dating, a matchmaker, a set-up orchestrated by a friend?!

Ryan and I were set up by friends who were insistent that we went on a date! Worked out in the end by I was not thrilled with the idea of being set up! ha! 😉

    3. What did you love most about Kate?

I just loved her sweet disposition. I really wanted to be her friend! She seemed so fun, authentic, and creative!

    1. OK, we’re dying to know. Which date was your favorite?
Even though the date ended up being a disaster, I think the gingerbread house decorating date sounded the most fun!

    2. Have you ever used a dating service: online dating, a matchmaker, a set-up orchestrated by a friend?!

I never used an online dating service, but my mom met my husband at my home church and suggested we meet when I came home from college. We met, went on a date and fell in love. We’ve been married 17 years and have 4 kids so I’d say it was successful matchmaking

    3. What did you love most about Kate?
I love the way she cared for her people…Her dad, Matt, Laura and her family, the townspeople…even her mom after she’d been hurt by her. She was genuinely invested in them and showed them how much she cared.

I just have to say that I loved this book, and all your holiday picks! I have lent them all out to friends, especially your holiday picks! My best friend just started yesterday and is already hooked.

    1. OK, we’re dying to know. Which date was your favorite?
Hmmm. The one I thought was the most unique/I’d most want to do was that hike with the warming shelters in the woods! Who doesn’t love going for winter walks AND being able to get hot chocolate in the middle of the woods?! The one I most enjoyed reading was probably the gingerbread house competition, because it was hilarious. I love how Kate just leaned in to how ridiculous the situation was instead of getting upset, and managed to have fun anyway.

    2. Have you ever used a dating service: online dating, a matchmaker, a set-up orchestrated by a friend?!
Yep! I met my husband on a free one when I was in graduate school. I was an education major, so I wasn’t meeting a lot of men at school in either undergrad or grad, so one tipsy wine filled night my best friend and I signed me up for one. I still remember seeing my now husband’s bio pic and thinking how cute he was.

    3. What did you love most about Kate?
I loved her ability to make everything fun, including heling others. The way she helps Matt at the bakery and makes it fun. She seems like the type of person you want in your life; helpful but able to say no when she knows she has too much on her plate, fun loving, but also able to relax and cozy up at home. I also loved her creativity. I loved the scenes when she would go around get lost in snapping photos, because I love doing that too! I think she knows herself and knows how to find peace in her life. I found the scenes of her baking, or painting at home very soothing and perfect for this season.
I really loved this book! I can’t wait to see the holiday pick for December.

    1. OK, we’re dying to know. Which date was your favorite?
For the laughs? I loved the gingerbread house and how ridiculous everything seemed. I also really liked the last date. Blexford Manor sounds like a dream!

    2. Have you ever used a dating service: online dating, a matchmaker, a set-up orchestrated by a friend?!
No, but the 12 dates of Christmas sounds like such a fun idea! I love that the dating services set up the dates for you so there was already a fun activity planned. It would be fun to do the 12 dates of Christmas but friend style!

    3. What did you love most about Kate?
I loved Kate’s independence! She loved herself first and was okay with living her life solo if that’s how it was best. She didn’t compromise her needs for her relationship. She held out for a relationship that was right for her!

    • November 30, 2020 / 10:25 am

I’m with you Holly, I think the Twelve Dates seem like such a fun idea!

    1) I thought the gingerbread house making date was the most creative/fun one! Such a good idea especially around the holidays. I also liked The Escape Room one, although that might not be as enjoyable on a bad first date where it takes some time for the date to end!

    2) I met my husband through a dating app back in 2014 (probably before dating apps were even that popular!)

    3) I liked Kate’s (eventual) self awareness and her kindness towards others. She seemed like a really fun, compassionate person and like someone I’d be friends with in real life.

    • November 30, 2020 / 10:25 am

Heather! I love that you met your husband through a dating app! SO SWEET!

    1. OK, we’re dying to know. Which date was your favorite?
I loved the hiking date! I think it would be so fun to enjoy nature, and I would totally be looking forward to the warming stations

    2. Have you ever used a dating service: online dating, a matchmaker, a set-up orchestrated by a friend?!
I haven’t, but it was wonderful and exciting to read about Kate’s positive attitude towards the twelve dates and how she put herself out there in committing to do all of them.

    3. What did you love most about Kate?
She seemed like she had such a great balance in her life. She enjoys her work, she helps out her friends and cares for her family. Falling in love (or realizing she was already in love) was the cherry on her sundae.

    • November 30, 2020 / 10:24 am

Rin, I’m with you I think a hiking date would be so fun!

    1. OK, we’re dying to know. Which date was your favorite?
I thought the Gingerbread Houses date sounded so fun and the scene was hilarious!

    2. Have you ever used a dating service: online dating, a matchmaker, a set-up orchestrated by a friend?!
    Nope!

    3. What did you love most about Kate?
I thought she was such a reliable friend but she also knew when to remove herself from a situation when it hurt too much. I really respected how much she did for others but how she also found the line to protect herself!

    1. Fave date: The one that was most fun to read was the gingerbread house date. The one I’d like to try? Hiking with warming shelters.

    2. I’ve never used a dating service, but I was set up by a friend – as a surprise! I thought I was going to dinner with her and her husband, and they “just so happened” to invite one of his single friends. I was a little annoyed, but they were low pressure and we had a fun night. Neither of us made a move to see each other again, though.

    3. Best thing about Kate: her generosity to her family, friends, the town. It seemed like every time we turned around, she was lending her mom money to get home or dragging herself to the kitchen to bake for Matt. She was lucky that they (most of the time) were happy to reciprocate.

    • November 30, 2020 / 10:23 am

Cath, I love that they “just so happened” to invite a friend! Ha!

    1. OK, we’re dying to know. Which date was your favorite?

I think the date with the outdoor movie! I just think it was super Christmas-y and cozy. I would love to have a nice cocktail, warm blanket, popcorn and a Christmas movie outside.

    2. Have you ever used a dating service: online dating, a matchmaker, a set-up orchestrated by a friend?!

No, I met my husband in college with a group of friends! I have never used a dating service, but have tried to set my friends up on them.

    3. What did you love most about Kate?
I love that Kate is such a good friend. She has a wonderful friendship with several different characters throughout the book. I think she is incredibly thoughtful. I love that she has friends of all ages, because I also have friends at all different ages.

    • December 2, 2020 / 10:36 am

Georgia! I’m dying for a good outdoor movie night complete with hot cocoa!

    1. OK, we’re dying to know. Which date was your favorite?
I loved the snowy hike! Maybe its because I’m a FL girl but it sounds so dreamy and I’m always looking for a little cold weather 😉

    2. Have you ever used a dating service: online dating, a matchmaker, a set-up orchestrated by a friend?!
Never have but I love the idea of playing matchmaker!

    3. What did you love most about Kate?
Not what I loved most but what I was most intrigued by and would love to know more about was Kate’s design job with Liberty. I adore their fabrics and patterns and if I were to read more about Kate, this is what I’d want to read about!

    • December 2, 2020 / 10:36 am

Snowy hike was definitely super dream! Also, Kate’s job #goals.

    1. OK, we’re dying to know. Which date was your favorite?
I think I’d most enjoying the cooking class! My husband and I love taking classes together at Sur La Table.

    2. Have you ever used a dating service: online dating, a matchmaker, a set-up orchestrated by a friend?!
Yes, my husband and I were both on a dating website. I was a little hesitant about online dating so I didn’t respond to his message (or anyone’s!) He found me on Facebook and I thought his persistence was sweet!

    3. What did you love most about Kate?
I loved her intuitiveness and ability to forgive. Something to strive for!

    • December 2, 2020 / 10:37 am

Oh fun!! I’ve never taken a cooking class at Sur La Table!

    1. OK, we’re dying to know. Which date was your favorite?

I loved the hiking date! Sounded so magical even though it was cut short.

    2. Have you ever used a dating service: online dating, a matchmaker, a set-up orchestrated by a friend?!

I haven’t but I’ve never seen an option for twelve dates of Christmas, otherwise I might’ve tried!

    3. What did you love most about Kate?

I loved how well rounded she seemed to be. She was invested in her friends. She helped Matt with baking. She tended to the vegetables in the garden with her dad. She worked for Liberty as a designer. She traveled! She just seemed so interesting. She also loves gingerbread lattes, so I felt like we were kindred spirits.

    • December 2, 2020 / 10:38 am

hahah! They really do need to have a “Twelve Dates” option! SO. FUN.

    1. OK, we’re dying to know. Which date was your favorite?

Loved the salsa date! And how she got a genuine friend out of it 🙂 sounds so fun!

    2. Have you ever used a dating service: online dating, a matchmaker, a set-up orchestrated by a friend?!

Nope! My husband and I met in high school in 2001, when we were 14, so I don’t even know if dating apps/online dating were “invented”!

    3. What did you love most about Kate

She is so genuine. She just wants others to be happy, even if it means helping them with their love story in place of her romantic relationship with them. She just seems like a great friend who would truly have you back and best intests at heart 100% of the time.

    • December 2, 2020 / 10:37 am

The salsa date sounded like THE most fun! Plus getting a new BFF? Sign me up!

    1. OK, we’re dying to know. Which date was your favorite?
I would have to say the Gingerbread date – so ridiculous, but so funny!

    2. Have you ever used a dating service: online dating, a matchmaker, a set-up orchestrated by a friend?!
No, my husband and I met in high school and have been together since! Dating apps definitely were not created when we got together.

    3. What did you love most about Kate?
I love how she stood up for herself and yet was so genuinely interested in helping her friends and family. Also, I just really loved the whole café idea and set up and really just want to visit there myself. No wonder she couldn’t stay away!

Just read it this weekend & I thoroughly enjoyed it.
    1. My favorite date was the salsa date night because she got a friend out of it &
I hope to someday have a dancing date myself. The outdoor movie was great and it reminded me of the
one I walked by one night on the beach in a little town in Fall 2019.

    2. I’ve never been on a dating website, app, etc. If I hear about an opportunity for 12 dates
for Christmas & it is organized, I would love to participate. …. otherwise, I’m keeping this book
handy for suggestions for future ideas for dates.

    3. I loved that Kate was able to have a really great work/life balance and her work seemed dreamy as did her home.
I too enjoy photographing nature, but I lack in artistic talents to transfer the photos to drawings, paintings,
and textiles. How wonderful it would be to be able to do that. I also enjoyed looking into Laura’s life as a wife, mom to two and a friend, and managing the manor. Happy New Year to everyone!! Thank you for a great book suggestion. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
