    1. These characters are basically my best friends as this point–I feel like we’ve learned so much about them! Who is your favorite?

Queen Eleanor, I mean she is SUCH a boss. I just love how complex she is and that her one true love is and will always be her country.

    2. SO much happens in this book! Which plot line was your favorite or which plot line would you want to read more about?

I love the dynamic between Bex, Nic, and Freddie. There is SO much to unpack here. I want to see what life is like with the babies and Freddie being married in another country! Will Bex make a great Queen? Honestly I have so many MANY questions!

    3. Do you think Freddie is happy? Will he and Daphne last?

I have mixed thoughts on this one. I think Freddie is happy with the decision he made, but not necessarily “happy”, does that make sense?! It was crazy to see him do something so rational after being so irrational for his entire life. I’d love to see how this relationship grows.

I don’t think Freddie made the right choice. He should have waited for real
Love. I love how we get to know Eleanor better in this book! Was not expecting the twist of Richard not being her son… whoa

    1. These characters are basically my best friends as this point–I feel like we’ve learned so much about them! Who is your favorite?
As for characters who are in both books, I’d say my favorite is probably Bex or Freddie but as far as The Heir Affair goes, hands down my favorite was the Queen Mother. She was absolutely, unexpectedly hilarious.

    2. SO much happens in this book! Which plot line was your favorite or which plot line would you want to read more about?
So true that there were so many great plot lines. I think I could read an entire book about Princess Georgina, though!

    3. Do you think Freddie is happy? Will he and Daphne last?
I didn’t love how things turned out for Freddie. I had hoped that he would have gotten his Meghan Markle, true love fairytale but of course, that may have been too similar to Bex and Nick, so I appreciate how the authors switched things up.

Briana! The Queen Mother was HILARIOUS. Agreed.

    1. These characters are basically my best friends as this point–I feel like we’ve learned so much about them! Who is your favorite?

Oh man, I don’t know if I can pick just one!! Freddie and Bex are my faves, but you can’t love them without Nick, although I don’t love his sulkey attitude all the time, haha. Queen Mother is also the best comedic relief, and all of the friends ping in at the most perfect times. I was so glad they were all so happy.

    2. SO much happens in this book! Which plot line was your favorite or which plot line would you want to read more about?

I want to know more about Bex and Nick’s life post birth!! How will they raise their children? Will they have Happier times? Will they rule well?

I also really really wanted them to stick it to Clive!! I wanted him to get the terrible ending he deserved and could have read more about that!

    3. Do you think Freddie is happy? Will he and Daphne last?

I think he is proud of himself for doing what he thinks is right, but I can’t imagine the thoughts he must have his whole life towards Bex and Nick’s babies.. does that make it hard for him to want to have children of his own? Will he be a present uncle? Will he sulk or be the fun uncle we all thought he would be in the 1st book. I think he’s dedicated to Daphne in a protective manner and will do all he can to make her happy, even at his own expense, but he’ll never let her know that.

“Will he be a present uncle or will he sulk”…. YES. I want to know more!!

Yes!! And “sulk” might be the wrong word, but naybe “will he distance himself”. Just love him and want him to be happy!

    1. These characters are basically my best friends as this point–I feel like we’ve learned so much about them! Who is your favorite?

I don’t think I can choose!! I think the Queen Mother is my favorite but Eleanor is close second, specially how her relationship with Bex developed as the story went on.

    2. SO much happens in this book! Which plot line was your favorite or which plot line would you want to read more about?

Freddie’s growth was my favorite! I would love to read more about Georgina’s story and also to see life with the twins!!

    3. Do you think Freddie is happy? Will he and Daphne last?

I think they will last, and I think that he was happy with his decision, but not happy overall. I think they will last, because Daphne makes Freddie feels like he’s the first choice and he needed that.

This book is sooo delicious to read and I am a HUGE fan of the Fug Girls!!

Queen Mother was a sleeper character I just couldn’t get enough of!

    Queen mother and Bex!

    2. SO much happens in this book! Which plot line was your favorite or which plot line would you want to read more about?
I would like to read more about Princess Georgina.

    3. Do you think Freddie is happy? Will he and Daphne last?
I think he is doing what he thinks he should do instead of seeking happiness.

    • July 28, 2020 / 2:37 pm

So much to unpack about Princess Georgina, I feel like there are multiple books there!

    1. These characters are basically my best friends as this point–I feel like we’ve learned so much about them! Who is your favorite?

Hard tie between Freddie, and Queen Eleanor, and the Queen Mother. Two BAMF ladies and my favorite scamp. We legit almost named our son Freddie.

    2. SO much happens in this book! Which plot line was your favorite or which plot line would you want to read more about?

Being a mom of twins myself, I am DYING to see how Bex and Nick handle being parents of multiples. It’s not for the faint of heart lol. I also want to see the twins and Lacey’s son grow up together. And Nick and Bex becoming the Prince and Princess of Wales. Basically, I just want more and more books about these characters, please thank you welcome.

    3. Do you think Freddie is happy? Will he and Daphne last?

I hope he’s happy. I think they have the potential to be happy. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t totally thrilled with how his storyline ended up, but that being said, I don’t know where else it could have gone. I’m glad Daphne loves him like he deserves, and I think he can certainly grow to love her. Maybe Freddie and Daphne’s story can be next?

Shannon! Yes I’m definitely into see the cousins interact, especially as time goes on!

    1. These characters are basically my best friends as this point–I feel like we’ve learned so much about them! Who is your favorite?

Queen Eleanor is my surprising favorite of this book. I empathized with the tough decisions she had to make in order to keep the delicate balance of duty and family. In the end, I felt like love prevailed when she came out with the truth even though it cost her having to drudge up unpleasant memories.

The NICU scene at the end tugged on my heartstrings because I’ve had 2 babies there and her comment about the smell of disinfectant being an awful first association with the world was a tender light-hearted moment.

    2. SO much happens in this book! Which plot line was your favorite or which plot line would you want to read more about?

Freddie’s whole decision to choose normal and stable as his path was very intriguing to me. Of course, we have no way of knowing the innermost thoughts of the royal family but there were a lot of similarities between that plot and Harry’s recent life choices.

    3. Do you think Freddie is happy? Will he and Daphne last?

    I hope so to both!!

Melissa, I’m with you, I really loved the arch of Eleanor’s character. She was so fun to unpack!

    1. These characters are basically my best friends as this point–I feel like we’ve learned so much about them! Who is your favorite?

I agree with the commentor who said the relationship between Bex, Nick, and Freddie. They are so interconnected and one or two would not be the same without the other. It actually made me enjoy this sequel much more than the first installment. I also read them immediately back to back which helped lol. I also loved the scenes with Bex, the Queen Mother and Eleanor. I have a friend who LOVES baseball. so the scenes with them all watching together were hilarious and brought some great levity. I was so happy that Eleanor had that conversation with Bex at the end, because I was upset how she had kind of played them and used her. I also love Gaz and the baking and the nod to the Great British Baking show, because watching that show with my husband or best friend is one of my favorite things. Also, I am so happy that Lacey got a happy ending!

    2. SO much happens in this book! Which plot line was your favorite or which plot line would you want to read more about?

Oh my gosh, so hard to choose! How everyone’s relationships developed was so fascinating to read. I went from despising Eleanor at the end of the first book, to coming to love her, to then grudgingly respecting her, to liking her again lol. I was kind of sad the whole thing with Clive just kind of fizzled out, although I’m not sure what else they could have done. Maybe in the next book! (Fingers crossed!) My favorite scene of the whole book was when Bex and Nick went to the Cubs game though, that made me so happy I was actually grinning. I want to know more about Georginia, and actually see her as a person/character. A prequel could be really cool! That whole storyline really brought full circle the connection between Nick/Bex/Freddie, and Eleanor/Georginia/ Richard. Also I just had to say that the ending actually made me tear up.

    3. Do you think Freddie is happy? Will he and Daphne last?

I think he will. and I think he will improve on the mistakes that Eleanor and Georiginia made. I hope he and Daphne spend lots of time with the twins, and that eventually they even know that he is their biological father. I also hope that he has a beautiful family of his own and have peace with his decision because it is his decision, and Daphne chose him, when so many others didn’t.

    • July 29, 2020 / 10:42 am

Ugh, I hope Freddie’s happy too!! I hope he and Daphne fall madly in love.

    1. Favorite Character?
I think that my two favorite characters (sorry! Can’t pick just one) are Bex and Eleanor. Overall, I enjoyed all of the characters more in the second book than in the first, which I find surprising. I think it’s cool that there isn’t a single character who is perfect and it’s fun to watch the messiness unfold.
    2. Favorite Plot Line
I liked the twist at the end! Not saying more just in case someone is still reading through. I also love the potential for more books.
    3. Is Freddie happy? Will he and Daphne last?
I think that Freddie is happy with the decision he made. It’s neat that the authors mention that there are different kinds of love.

I LOVED Bex and Eleanor’s relationship. Queen to future queen. It was so fun to read!

    1. I think Eleanor was my favorite character this time because we saw so many new layers to her. I think Ashley’s right—her number one priority is the country at all times. But it was interesting, motives aside, to see her connect with Bex and how she changed after being the coma.

    2. I loved all of the storylines (Cubs game was a favorite moment) but one of my favorites was discovering about Georgina. That felt like a fun mystery that slowly revealed itself. And then what we learned about her was kind of tragic unfortunately.

    3. I think Freddie is pleased with himself and thinks he made the right choice, ha! I really hope this is the kind of situation where true love develops out of something more practical but with Freddie I wouldn’t be surprised if this begins to feel stifling.
