    1. Which of the Ford family storylines was most interesting to you? Is there a facet of this book you would want to read more about?

Honestly, the mom and dad. I loved their love story and how they found each other again.

    2. Do you think that Finn and Bobby will ever be able to fully reconcile?

Yes!! That’s what I loved about this book. It’s a big messy family, but in the end it’s still family.

    3. For the Ford siblings, their mom’s lasagna was a huge comfort that could bring them together no matter what. Is there something like that in your family or friend group? What is the great equalizer?

Oh, homemade stove popped popcorn. FOR SURE.

    1) I definitely think the mom and dad, to me it was the story that had most depth. It was nice to see them have real struggles but always find their way back to each other. Showing that real relationships take work and effort from both parties.
    2) I think they for sure can. I think that is what the ending would also lead you to believe.
    3) My family is Dominican so I would definitely say that the one meal that brings us all together and getting along even if just long enough to enjoy the meal would be Sancocho!

    1. Which of the Ford family storylines was most interesting to you? Is there a facet of this book you would want to read more about?

Definitely the parents! I loved reading about them finding their way back to each other and honestly I would love a book about their post winery life!

    2. Do you think that Finn and Bobby will ever be able to fully reconcile?

I really hope so! I think its very sticky but maybe if Finn can get some space and cultivate a life of his own away from family it will be easier to be around Bobby and Margaret.

    3. For the Ford siblings, their mom’s lasagna was a huge comfort that could bring them together no matter what. Is there something like that in your family or friend group? What is the great equalizer?

Sports! I think sporting events can be such a fun thing to enjoy together and ditto to AB’s comment: popcorn. always popcorn (stovetop only, microwave need not apply).

. Which of the Ford family storylines was most interesting to you? Is there a facet of this book you would want to read more about?

Jen and Dan for sure. I love “old” love stories…having been married 17 years, a lifetime together is both something to continually strive for and look forward to.

    2. Do you think that Finn and Bobby will ever be able to fully reconcile?

I hope so!! I feel like they will.

    3. For the Ford siblings, their mom’s lasagna was a huge comfort that could bring them together no matter what. Is there something like that in your family or friend group? What is the great equalizer?

For my brother and I, my mom’s lasagna. For my kids I think they’d say my meatloaf and mashed potatoes.

    1. Which of the Ford family storylines was most interesting to you? Is there a facet of this book you would want to read more about?

I loved the peeks into Dan and Jen’s relationship from the past. I also feel like I want to know more about Finn, I think there is more story there, as he figures out what to do next in his own life, and mending the relationship with his brother.

    2. Do you think that Finn and Bobby will ever be able to fully reconcile?

I do. I think as sad as it sounds that nothing brings people together more than a health scare. I actually really related to that facet of the story with Dan’s heart attacks, as several years ago my uncle had a very bad heart attack, and I had no idea that he was having heart trouble. While it shook us to the core, it also really brought us together closer than we’d ever been. I think sometimes it takes something like that for people to realize how important family is, and what really matters.

    3. For the Ford siblings, their mom’s lasagna was a huge comfort that could bring them together no matter what. Is there something like that in your family or friend group? What is the great equalizer?

I have two. My husband makes the most amazing lasagna, so that part really made me smile. He actually makes it every year for a Friendsgiving, and we are going to watch the weather this year and see if we can swing doing it outside, or if the weather is bad, delivering some to friends. It is one of my most “feel good” nights of the year, and it really brings us together. For the family side of things, my mother in law makes the most amazing cheese pancakes, and a lot of times when we all get together she makes them for breakfast, and I love all gathering around the table to enjoy them.

I went to Napa for my honeymoon, so I really loved this one! And I enjoyed the will she/won’t she aspect of Ben or Jacob, it didn’t feel too predictable! I really enjoyed it.

    1. I loved reading through the defining moments of Dan and Jen’s relationship and how small moments of action or inaction can be so defining- it really tied into how Georgia saw and navigated her relationship with Ben I think. I agree with other readers that I’d like to hear more about Finn!

    2. I really envision Finn and Bobby reconciling, though it will take work and time! I think Finn coming into his own will ease that a lot!

    3. Homemade chocolate cake – this always eases our family back together in face of conflict, it’s almost magic. https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/triple-chocolate-layer-cake/ Tip: Don’t leave the espresso powder out!

    3. For the Ford siblings, their mom’s lasagna was a huge comfort that could bring them together no matter what. Is there something like that in your family or friend group? What is the great equalizer?
