The Best Appliance We Own

Brava Oven Review

Not to be completely dramatic or anything, but the Brava oven flat out SAVED us these past few months. We’ve used it every day (multiple times a day) since the moment it landed on our door step.

It was actually quite serendipitous! Brava gifted us one of their countertop ovens and it just happened to arrive the day after (no lie!) our main oven broke. It truly was a gift from heaven’s PR team, and couldn’t have come at a better time, ha! So let’s rewind back to June shall we…

At the beginning of June we had yet to start our major kitchen renovation, but we were deep in the planning phase when our old oven broke and the next day the Brava was on our doorstep. When the Brava arrived, Ryan and I totally lost the afternoon staring at the thing, LIKE WHAT THE HECK IS IT?! I felt like a kid in a candy shop, it did everything! It’s an oven (convection and conduction), an air fryer, a toaster, a slow cooker, and more. As soon as we turned it on I felt like we were in the Jetsons.

How does the Brava Work?

To sum it up the Brava has simplified cooking. “Brava uses a combination of visible and infrared light to cook food faster and more efficiently than the hot air of convection ovens, or the conduction of stovetops. Unlike air or cast iron, light can be easily targeted and adjusted. This means you can create food that otherwise would have been separately sauteed, grilled, seared and baked. Our chefs create recipe programs for specific foods—and combinations of foods—to make sure they’re cooked perfectly every time.”

And I can attest to the above quote from their website, it cooks perfectly every. single. time.

Y’all it’s wild.

Who knew back in June when our old oven went out that we’d actually be without a REAL oven for over two months! Ha! Since our kitchen demo day in the first week of July we really haven’t had access to our new oven, so the Brava is what we cook with. It’s currently set up on a card table in our living room and has been our source of every meal we cook. Whether it’s as simple as toast, to baking muffins, to searing the perfect salmon. The Brava has completely and utterly saved us.

What I Love About It

The touch screen technology along with hundreds of recipes and loaded pre-sets make whipping up dinner an actual breeze! I’ll just type in “Salmon and Broccoli” load the tray and push start.

There’s a screen on the oven that let’s me see how fast things are cooking (it has a camera INSIDE the oven). That, along with the real time thermometer display and smart functions, the oven tells me when out dinner is done. And on top of it all there’s a mobile app so I can actually watch my food cook from my phone when I’m in the office or another part of the house!

Truly it’s still blows me away and it’s already been 3 months.

We’ve fallen in love with this appliance so much so that we donated our fancy toaster oven and are building a custom shelf in our kitchen island for the Brava, no lie. So if you’re looking for ways to simplify your meal planning or add some serious capacity to your existing kitchen…Look no further!
