Good Riddance by Elinor Lipman

We stumbled across Elinor Lipman's brand new book, Good Riddance, and as soon as I saw the cover it just felt meant to be. This is the first book I've read by Elinor, and I've got to tell you, after reading it I cannot wait to catch up on her previous titles! Elinor's writing in Good Riddance is fun, snarky, and at times hilarious. I honestly couldn't put it down! I loved the unexpected friendships, the romanic plot, and mini mystery this book provided! Such a fun trip down memory lane.

WHAT IT'S ABOUT

In a de-cluttering frenzy Daphne Maritch decides to recycle the one thing her late mother left her. A yearbook from 1968, dedicated to June Winter Maritch, with all its notes and scribbles, doesn't seem to hold a lot of significance for Daphne until it's gone. When a neighbor down the hall thinks the annotated yearbook would be a great inspiration for a documentary, suddenly, deciphering its mysteries and secrets takes on a whole new meaning.

About Ashley Brooke on www.ashleybrookedesigns.com

I fell in love with this book by the end of chapter 2! The unique storyline coupled with a gaggle of hilarious characters and unexpected friendships had me flying through this book!

I loved the premise of this book--the plot was quirky and original (which is hard to find, am I right?). Daphne was a totally relatable protagonist and I found myself rooting for her from the word go.

I was invested in this book as soon as I started reading it. It's unexpected, quirky and keeps you interested the whole time. As the story developed the plot kept getting better and better!
