Good Morning and Happy Monday to You!

Here is just a peek at what I was up to this weekend…

Photo 1: Pretending to be a Florist

Early Saturday morning we headed down to the flower shop to pick up some blooms for a brunch we are hosting for our ABD girls tomorrow! I wanted to MAKE sure I got exactly what I wanted (I have an idea in my head, you know how that goes) so we got their bright and early before all of the good stuff was taken! Afterwards I promptly trimmed and processed the flowers and placed them in the coldest and darkest closet in our house. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will be as perfect as I think they will be for tomorrow!

I spent Saturday afternoon party planning for our big brunch! I wanted to make sure my grocery list was fool proof (with out fail I forget something EVERY TIME)! So I made myself a cup of hot tea, sat on the floor at our coffee table and did a little recipe research!

Photo 3: Getting Serious About Gardening

We are in FULL backyard-re-do mode… and it’s getting serious. Ryan laid down all new sod (I watched, he worked) and we are finally getting to what I think is the fun stuff… the FLOWERS!! After church on Sunday we hopped over to Home Depot and spent a good 2 hours, sweating it out in our Sunday Best, in the garden section dreaming up our back yard. We are doing this in baby steps since we are doing it all ourselves, but I am so excited to show you what we’ve come up with! Yesterday we DIYed a wall hanging planter that now houses my herbs, I’m going to be real with you, it looks so good that we should have our own HGTV show. Stay tuned for a peek!

Over the weekend I had a few questions about my outfit and other details from my weekend “story”! I tried to answer as many of you as I could, but just in case I missed you… here are the details: Striped Romper // Chambray Shirt // Tassel Necklace (old Vineyard Vines, but similar here) // Straw Tote // Tennis Shoes // Watch

Also, I talked about trying out a new liquid highlighter from L’Oreal that I fell in love with, here is the link —> True Match Lumi Liquid Glow c/o

And lastly, I got TONS of questions about my gold flatware, it’s from Home Decorators (and it’s on SALE!!).

P.S. I couldn’t end this post about our weekend without saying something about our beautiful city. This past weekend was heartbreaking for us as a nation, but more so for those of us who live in this wonderful city of Orlando. Our hearts are breaking with and for our friends.
