Breezy and Easy
We were home pretty much the entire month of May, which meant we got to do a little exploring in our very own city! When we aren’t traveling we are usually in the office catching up on work, but this month we had the chance to get out and visit a few places we’ve had on our local bucket list. It made for a few really fun afternoons!
One of the places we’d both been dying to explore was Casa Feliz. We’ve been there many times for weddings and holiday parties but never actually to explored the property when it’s empty. So a few weeks ago I threw on my favorite Gal Meets Glam dress, grabbed a basket bag, and drove down Park Ave. in Winter Park for a little sightseeing.
One of my favorite things about Summer is wearing easy, breezy sundresses on repeat. Here in Florida, it’s about the only thing you want to wear on a 90+ degree day! So I was thrilled when Julia from Gal Meets Glam launched her dress collection earlier this Spring. I became an instant fan of her feminine frocks and when this one came in the mail, I just knew there would be more in my future!
My favorite Gal Meets Glam Dresses:
Casa Feliz, all to ourselves!
When we arrived at Casa Feliz we were pleasantly surprised to see that we had the entire house to ourselves. We got a private tour of the home and learned so many things about James Gamble Rogers who was the architect of this beautiful home. If you are in the area, I’d HIGHLY recommend popping in for an afternoon. We learned all about its Spanish Colonial & French Provencial design and the special details that make Casa Feliz one of the most treasured homes in Winter Park. It was such a fun afternoon!
We are all obsessed with basket bags this season, and quite frankly every season here in Florida… below are a few of my favorites of the moment!
These nude Jack Rogers sandals have been a major repeat for me since I scooped them up back in January and I see no sign of taking them off! But these pretty bow sandals (50% off!) might just persuade me to do so!
Nude & Rafia Sandals:
Even if it’s in your neighborhood, take time this Summer to get out and explore. After visiting Casa Feliz we’ve made a whole list of local things we want to do this season and I can’t wait!
