From Face Oil to Dry Volume Spray!
I sat down yesterday to edit the easy updo tutorial that I had filmed for you and found out that my video card had malfunctioned and I had lost the entire video. If that has ever happened to you, you know it’s kind of THE WORST EVER. But have no fear, I will be posting more video tutorials soon, just as soon as I get over this devastating loss! Ha!
I was brainstorming a post for today while getting ready and realized that there are so many new products I am using (and LOVING) that I hadn’t told you about yet. So I thought it would be fun to give you a little skin, make up, hair care product update.
I hope you enjoy and as always feel free to leave any questions in the comments below, I’m happy to answer! Happy Friday, friends!
Rodin – Geranium & Orange Blossom Face Oil
I figured I’d just start with both the most expensive and the best on this list…just to figuratively rip off the band-aid! In full disclosure this Rodin face oil was gifted to me, but after using it for over a month now, I can say that I’d buy it again in a heartbeat!
I use it day and night and just a tiny bit goes a long way! I can already tell the diference in my skin’s glow and hydration. Also, I love the way it looks under foundation. It gives a nice dewy look without being too dewy (you know what I mean…). Also, my foundation just goes on smoother and sits on my skin a little more flawlessly, so hey, what more could you ask for?
P.S. For a more affordable version try this one, it’s also amazing!
Fresh – Soy Face Cleanser
I don’t know what it is about this cleanser but it just WORKS. I keep coming back to it time and time again. Not only does it actually clean your skin, but it doesn’t leave it feeling tight or dry. For someone like me who has super sensitive and acne prone skin, finding the perfect cleanser is like finding Willy Wonka’s golden ticket, and this is my golden ticket!
Urban Decay – Sin Afterglow Highlighter Palette
I’ve been religiously using the Too Faced Natural Beauty Face Palette for the past month until I got this one from Urban Decay. Now, don’t get me wrong… my love for the Too Faced palette has not wavered, but there is definitely a new game in town!
I love the way this palette gives you a subtle glow. The colors are actually perfect and super pigmented. I’d HIGHLY recommend this one!
Blax – Clear Snag-Free Hair Elastics
Last week while in Palmetto Bluff my friend Kate, from The Small Things Blog, and got together to make a few videos for both our channels!
One of the things we did was an elevated ponytail and Kate brought out her bag of tricks. These Blax hair ties are what she used and as soon as she pulled them out I was like what in the world are those?! They looked nicer than the drug store brand I usually get and they WERE!
They are thicker and much more sturdy. Plus, if you have really fine hair like me they help your pony tail have that extra little “umph!”
I ordered these on Amazon as soon as I got home and I’m SO glad I did!
Living Proof – Full Dry Volume Blast
Well, this has become my newest obsession. Like I said above I have fine hair, it’s fairly thick, but definitely fine which means I have little to no natural volume and need all the help I can get.
I’m currently living off of this Dry Volume spray and can not get enough. Not only does it smell delicious, but it’s also MAGICAL. Do yourself a favor and go get it ASAP!
Rodin Lipstick in “So Mod”
I love a great nude-ish/pink-ish lipstick but honestly it’s SO hard to find. But this one from Rodin is awesome.
I’ve been wearing in on pretty much a daily basis with the lip liner, Billie and The Bike under it for a bit more “pink”!
Again, Rodin is a little more on the luxury side, but this lipstick is WELL worth the price. Also, it will never ever leave your lips feeling dry.
Kate Somerville – ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment
I love Kate Somerville’s products and was THRILLED to find out that the ExfoliKate was included in my Fab Fit Fun box this month especially since I had just run out of the exfoliator I was using.
This exfoliator is famous in the beauty world and for good reason, it REALLY does the job! Also, the rosewood and cinnamon extracts leave your skin feeling bright and hydrated!
If you are looking for a new exfoliator… look no further!!
