Eyes, Cheeks, & Lips.
I get the opportunity to try out a lot of beauty products. Some I end up loving more than others, but these three have been on steady rotation in my morning routine for a few weeks now. So, I figured it was high time to do a little review in case you’ve seen them around and wondered about them!
When I test out beauty products, which I’m virtually always doing (I’m currently testing The Ordinary skincare line and loving it so far!) I like to use them consistently for a few weeks to really get a good sense of now only how they wear on their own, but whether they “play nice” with the rest of the makeup in my rotation.
Another thing I like to make a note of is how often I grab these products when I’m in a hurry. If something is a really great product but the application process takes forever, it usually won’t make the cut. So below are three of my favorite new additions in my makeup routine.
Also, if you scroll down to the end of this post you can hop on over to my YouTube channel, where you’ll find a little video I filmed on my iphone for you on how I use each product. Sometimes it’s just easier to watch someone else apply the highlighter instead of guessing!
Neutrogena – Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine
I’ve been wearing a matte lip for what feels like years now, so it’s been fun to re-introduce the gloss into my life. I have a love-hate relationship with lip gloss. I love the look but hate the sticky feeling, so when I find a lip-gloss that is not only a great color but is also extremely wearable I grab it. This drug store find is one you will definitely want to try!
NUDESTIX – Magnetic Eye Color
I’ve mentioned Nude Stix a few times online but I’m here to tell you that my love for them is real and not going anywhere! It’s like eyeliner and cream shadow had a baby and they named it Nude Stix. My concern with any type of stick type shadow is that it may look cool for a hot second, but as soon as I walk out the door into the humidity, game over. It creases and looks messy almost instantly.
But not Nude Stix. It doesn’t crease or look sloppy or slide down my face… it’s magical. I use them both as liners and eyeliners and could not recommend them enough!
Laura Geller – Liquid Gelato Pillow Top Illuminator
This will make you look like a glow-y Victoria Secret Angel! You know what I’m talking about… that dewy skin glow that looks so pretty in the magazines, but is really hard to achieve in real life without looking like your skin is just, well, oily?! This highlighter changes that completely! It’s one of the best liquid highlighters I’ve ever used and I cannot say enough great things about it! If you haven’t tried it, you need to… it will be a beauty staple for you this Spring for sure.
