Good morning and happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend, ours was great! We finally got the chance to just hang out… we took the dogs for long walks, ordered in pizza, and started a new television series. All and all, it was delightful!
Here is a tiny peek at what my weekend looked like….
Photo 1. During the afternoon I put our books in my tote bag and said…”We are going to Starbucks, I need you to get on board with this idea.” My husband of course said, “I’m in if I can get a brownie!”, “DONE, let’s go!” We ordered our favorite fancy drinks (mine fancy, his less fancy, more manly) and of course a brownie! We then found a nice little corner and just parked ourselves there for the next hour and a half. It was so great. I can’t concentrate long enough to read much at home (there is always something else I could be doing) so it was nice to get out and just read. I always see the blissfully happy Starbucks readers and always wish I had an afternoon to be just like them… and now that I have, I want to go back. It was so lovely!
Photo 2: I love tulip season! Our market is packed full of them right now in every shade imaginable. I make an effort to purchase fresh flowers, since our place is small (but adorable) fresh flowers always make a big difference! Whether I whip up some gourmet meal or we just open a bottle of wine and order in… either way I feel fancy eating at a table with fresh flowers. And, I loooooooove to feel fancy!
Photo 3: Just a little snap shot of what my desk looked like after writing a few thank you notes and wrapping a few birthday gifts this weekend. Three of my favorite things… Le Pens, I have them in all different colors, they are my new favorite pens! Tiny Envelopes, I was adding enclosure cards to a few presents and there just isn’t anything cuter than these envelopes. And of course, the new Love stamps, I’m just so thrilled to no longer be sending thank you cards out with holiday stamps on them (I may or may not have sent my Valentines out with Christmas Tree stamps)!
I hope your weekend was equally lovely! Um I LOVE the idea of Starbucks! its true, my boyfriend and I sit at home and end up online, cleaning or doing anything but relaxing. Im going to try this!
I love the idea of taking a trip to Starbucks to read – I completely relate to not being able to concentrate at home!
LOVE those pictures! Those tulips are so pretty… Ah, I wish we could have them… Right now all we have are some almost dead roses from Valentines day. Its not very romantic, or pretty. But when I have my own house, you can be sure it won’t be like that. =) Beautiful pictures! I love your posts! =)
