This afternoon I wanted to share with you a new little column called meet the team! The ABD team is very small but we pack a pretty hefty punch, and I thought it was high time you met their faces!
Today I want to introduce you to Betsy. I consider myself a very lucky girl to be able to work side by side with her everyday. Not onnnnly does she know how to spell (something I CANNOT do!… but you already knew that!) but she can also….read my mind, remember everyone’s name, tell me my schedule, be the ultimate ABD cheerleader, and sometimes she even brings me a muffin in the morning from my favorite bakery… AMAZING. She’s always jammed packed with ideas and literally carries around a stenno pad so she never forgets a good one! Hiring Betsy was one of the best things I could have ever done for ABD… she keeps us all in line over here.
Now onto the good stuff…
Name: Betsy K. Storey (…but Ashley Brooke calls me “B”)
Position at ABD: Communications Director. You see, words and I, we have this love affair.
How long have you worked at ABD? Three years (can’t believe it!)! I worked for ABD as an intern for a full year before being hired on in 2009.
Which furry creature belongs to you? Stella Jane…don’t you just love her spots?!
What’s your favorite thing about your job? I LOVE getting to know our clients and the sincere way we interact with them and shower them with attention! Most often they are ordering something that’s a reflection of who they are and I love that what we do makes people feel special!
What’s the one tool at work you couldn’t live without? My thesaurus, my memo pad for jotting down quick thoughts and my inbox!
Who’s your girl crush? Oh dear…who isn’t my girl crush?! I’m going to cheat–I have 2 all time girl crushes: Sarah Jessica Parker and Reese Witherspoon. I love SJP for her over the top red carpet looks and her ability to push the fashion envelope (I personally love wearing a least one piece that makes people do a double take!). And Reese for her classic preppy style, that’s most true to my everyday style…and she’s a fellow Southern girl, so what’s not to love?!
What is currently at the tippy-top of your wishlist? Hunter Wellies!
