My girl crush of the week is the one and only Emerson of EmersonMade. wearing the ultra flair bluebell denim jeans from her own line of apparel. Wide leg pants are in this Spring and I have to tell you there is not much more I love then a good nod to the 70′s! And at the very tippity top of my shopping list this Spring are those adorable and oh-so-flattering EM Original Bluebells! I’m thrilled that EmersonMade now has their own clothing line, it is no secret that I love their flower pins (I am wearing one here!) and I’m sure that their clothing is just as lovely. Not to mention that it doesn’t get any more effortlessly chic than Emerson herself!

{New Custom Illustration} : According to Nina

Ashley Brooke Designs : According to Nina

Nina is one of my very favorite people in blog land! She holds a special place in my heart.  Nina has supported my work from the very beginning and has been a fabulous friend and client ever since!

So I was of course thrilled to find out that she was pregnant with her first child! Nina was so sweet to share her news with me early in her pregnancy and I then of course got started right away on making the “addition” to her blog header. This was such a fun project for me and I just LOVE the way it turned out, and p.s. how cute is she with that baby bump?!

There are a few special little details that I added in her design to make it extra special 1. Hermes box and bracelet (she has a love for all things H, since her new last name starts with said letter.) 2. The Bugaboo stroller (she makes no apologies for being a “Stroller Snob“) 3. And of course a box of ABD stationery atop her desk! I am completely smitten with her new online look!

My Weekend Lookbook: March 26-27, 2011

Ashley Brooke Designs Weekend Lookbook 3|26-27

Here is a little peek at what I was up too this weekend…

Photo 1. Sam and Lucy (our two painfully adorable pups) pop up on the ottoman every morning to get a little sun. Saturday was a particually beautiful morning and the dogs, especially Sam, were loving it!

Photo 2. I have been wanting to try Bethenny’s Skinnygirl margarita for a while now and I came across a bottle in our local market and snatched it up! To be honest I was concerned because we like to consider ourselves margarita connoisseurs over here in our household (my Mother-in-Law makes hands down the BEST margarita you’ve ever had) but I was pleasantly surprised! It is delicious!!!

Photo 3. Gosh I love a good bridal shower… presents, diamonds, cake… what’s not to love! My sister’s bridal shower was this weekend and we just had such a wonderful time, I am bursting at the seams with excitement for her! Being a bride is just so much fun! Good morning and happy Friday! Spring is in full effect here in Central Florida, everything is blooming (including the pollen…boo allergies!) even the trees are turning a bright shade of green, it’s beautiful! This time every year I crave sunny walks in the park, frozen yogurt, fresh flowers, reading on the porch, and fun outdoor activities… like flying kites! What are your favorite Spring activities?
