Our Summer Holiday : Next Stop, Savannah

SavannahI just wanted to pop in and say a quick hello! We’ve been having so much fun on our vacation and soaking up every bit of R&R we can! We have been devouring books, coffee on the porch, s’mores by the fire, hikes up the mountain, and not to mention eating TONS of good southern food! In the mists of all of this fun my Sister got engaged!! You may have seen the tweet I sent out on Saturday but our whole family could not be more excited and both she and her new fiance are just smitten! As you can tell so far this trip has been fabulous! And today we are packing up our bags at the cabin and heading to our last and final stop on our vacation, Savannah, GA. Neither my husband nor I have ever been and we are excited to explore!

Ashley Brooke Designs: Etiquette Blog

Hi there!!

I hope your Mondays are off to a great start!! We are really enjoying our vacation and having a wonderful time relaxing with family!!

I wanted to share with you this morning a new direction we are taking with our etiquette blog.  When we conducted our survey a couple of months ago I really concentrated on your feelings on the etiquette blog and compared them to how I feel about it and what my plans for it are.  I feel like this part of our blog has really gotten away from it’s original purpose and hasn’t allowed me to to really deliver the best, most relevant content.  Sometimes its a struggle to come up with topics that I feel are helpful and coincide with Ashley Brooke Designs.

My momma raised me right and taught me how to write thank you notes, throw showers and be a lovely Southern lady.  But that doesn’t necessarily make me an etiquette experts in all areas.  So I’m scaling back the blog to a post a week and really concentrating on those things I know best!  Which for the most part will be paper.  I hope this will really raise the bar in the content I do provide and that you’ll find it helpful above anything else!

When I return from vacay, we’ll get back on the etiquette train, so stay tuned!

Ashley Brooke Designs: A Family Affair!

Unique family stationeryunique family StationeryRecently I worked with the super sweet Kristen from Pineapple Grove Gifts to design a family illustration! First of all, can we just talk about how cute her kids are?!? Seriously, when she sent over the photos of her little ones I couldn’t stop cooing over them! They are adorable! We ended up doing custom stationery, stickers, an 8×10 print, and of course sticky notes! Anyway, it all turned out perfectly preppy! I hope you enjoy your new stationery and other ABD unnecessary necessities!!

Our Summer Holiday : Road Trip

road trip

We are all packed up, Lucy included, and heading out tonight on our first road trip! I am beyond excited to spend the next week relaxing with my husband. We’ve been working around the clock (literally) so this vacation is much needed and perfect timing for the both of us, we couldn’t be more excited! We are heading to Blue Ridge, GA (to our family cabin) and then to Savannah, GA (a place neither of us have been!). So looking forward to swinging in hammocks, morning coffee over looking the mountains, afternoon board games, reading on the deck, and Firefly cocktails!
